The aim for this workshops is to nourish and replenish…Yoga Nidra a ‘Yogic Sleep’ is a place of consciousness between awake and sleeping. You will be helped into deeply relaxing and supported resting positions, either on your back or side, using a plethora of cushions, blankets and bolsters. Once comfortable the senses internalise, apart from your hearing, as you will be guided verbally through a relaxation, allowing for the whole self to come to a place of deep and healing rest. Yoga Nidra, lucid sleep, is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. This practice has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. The autonomic symptoms of high anxiety such as headache, giddiness, chest pain, palpitations, sweating and abdominal pain respond well. Lisa is known for not letting her students leave without awakening their senses with Tea & Chocolate before heading off into the hustle of East London.
Lisa has been teaching for over 11 years and is Director of both Yoga Place E2 and Yoga Place Abertawe and a teacher trainer for Yoga Campus. A BWY teacher, trained in Yin, Restorative, Therapeutic Practices and has been studying under Tias Little for around 9 years. Lisa enjoys sharing classes that combine somatic sequences and building to more dynamic postures and always concludes her classes with a deep relaxation or Yoga Nidra.
