Sunday Morning Mysore

Teachers: Ben Lawley & Jasone

Develop your Ashtanga practice and drop into Sunday morning Mysore at Yoga Place. Whether you know all of the primary series or are just starting out, you can enrich your Ashtanga practice in the relaxed atmosphere of the Sunday morning Mysore drop in.

You can arrive and start at any time from 8.30-9.30am. The class runs until 10.30am. You can start your sun salutations at your own time and according to your own preferred pace. Ben is there to support your learning of new postures, adjust and develop your technique,  and to remind you what posture comes next in the sequence.

The word ‘Ashtanga’ indicates the 8 limbs of classical yoga. The practice represents a unique and authentic classical tradition passed from teacher to student, as taught by the Jois family in Mysore over the last fifty years. In this style of teaching, with individual variations and multiple series of postures available, the practice can be adjusted to suit students of all levels of fitness and flexibility whether very athletic or much less so.

Class finishes in time for you to enjoy tucking into an east end brunch,  and stroll the area’s special Sunday markets and cafes.
