Mats, Props & what to wear…
Do I need my own mat?
Yoga Place provides mats and props free of charge for all students however if you practise regularly, we advise that you have your own mat for hygiene purposes.
All our mats are top of the range, sticky Pro Lite mats. To ensure they stay fresh and clean for everyone, we ask that you roll them from one end to the other once you have finished the class as opposed to folding them. If they are wet, PLEASE hang them on the drier at reception.
If you practise Mysore then will need to bring your own mat but we do offer permanent storage.
What should I wear?
Wear anything that’s comfortable and easy to move in. Yoga is practised bare foot so be prepared to remove your shoes at the front door and not put them on again until you leave.
Both our studios are fully stocked with mats, blocks, bricks, blankets, eyebags and belts. We also have cushions for our pregnancy and restorative classes and workshops.
All props are provided to support practice if you so wish. Please don’t be afraid to ask the teacher for assistance.
