Acupuncture & PhysiotherapyWith Liam St Peirre Thursday evenings from 5pm Wholelife physiotherapy was established with the aim of providing a carefully tailored service that treats each patient as a unique individual. Our aim is to have a real and positive impact, improving the quality and wellbeing of people’s lives. We understand that there’s a co-relation between a healthy body and a healthy mind and problems with one will certainly impact on the other. Our aim is to provide a whole-life solution to your health problems. We are not into a quick-fix approach whose benefits will likely be short-lived, nor are we advocates of recipe-based treatment. We seek instead to get to the very core of the problem and provide a real long-term solution. However, we’re not going to keep you any longer than you need: at Wholelife we believe in value for money – we’re going to give you the best treatment in the correct amount of sessions. Getting you going, steering you back to a healthy, happy, wholelife. At Yoga Place Liam St Pierre is the physiotherapist. Liam is a senior physiotherapist with extensive experience of treating a wide range of muscle, bone and joint problems. He loves what he does, which is working with people to help them get better or give them the tools they need to manage long term conditions. He is trained to Masters level and works in GP surgeries, hospital A&E and sports medicine clinics. While at the Royal London Hospital he worked with clinicians from Arsenal Football Club and the British Olympic team. In technical terms Liam practices musculoskeletal physiotherapy and has built up a strong interest in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and sub-acute soft tissue injuries, spinal disorders and hand injuries. Liam is also an acupuncturist and a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Liam has acted as a physiotherapy consultant to The Guardian newspaper, and worked with a range of people from stuntmen to professional musicians. He says: “When things go wrong with the body the negative effects are mental as well as physical. Having an injury can all too often bring with it the fear of re-injury, anxiety about return to sport or work and frustration at our bodies’ frailties. Thorough our detailed assessment we can identify the people’s specific problem and offer a tailored treatment program that is right for them, giving them the confidence to get back on track with their life.” To book an appointment you can call: 07974 122603 or email liam@wholelifephysio.com Further details can be found on the website: www.wholelifephysio.com Cosmetic Acupuncture at Yoga PlaceAlso, with Liam St. Pierre
Thursday evenings from 5pm Cosmetic or Facial Revitilisation Acupuncture is a painless, non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process. Facial Revitilisation Acupuncture is suitable for those with deep wrinkles, fine lines, bags under the eyes, sagging, puffiness, drooping eyelids, double chin, large pores, dry skin or acne. Other likely benefits include: moisturizing of the skin with increased local circulation of blood and lymph to the face; increased collagen production, muscle tone, and dermal contraction; tightening of the pores; brightening of the eyes; improving of hormonal balance to help acne; reduction of stress evident in the face – bringing out the innate Beauty and Radiance of an individual. What is the course of treatment? Generally, it consists of 12 treatments. Most patients notice a difference after one or two treatments, however the effects become most noticeable and lasting on or about the sixth session. Each person responds in a different way, depending on his or her condition and lifestyle prior to treatment. Does it really make a difference? A 1996 report in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture reported that among 300 cases treated with Facial Acupuncture, 90% had marked effects with one course of treatment. The effects included: the skin becoming delicate and fair, improvement of the elasticity of facial muscles and leveling of wrinkles, a brighter complexion, and overall rejuvenation–not confined to the face. What to expect at your first consultation At the first session a full assessment of the patient’s medical history is taken along with a discussion about which areas of the face you would like to improve. The treatment itself involves hair-thin needles in specific points in the face. Body points may also be used to improve a person’s overall energy. The needles will be in for up to 30 minutes. The process is virtually painless and very relaxing. After the needles have been removed a variety of other traditional techniques may be used, such as facial massage. Facial exercises may also be prescribed to help maintain the benefits of the treatment. What’s it cost? The initial consultation and treatment is £120 Follow up treatments are £80 A block of 6 sessions is £500 Contact details as above!!!
