Birth Preparation -Yoga for Labour
Are you having a baby? If so, this 3 hour fun and informative workshop is for you
This is a one off workshop for mum-to-be and her birth partner, or solo if you wish, where the Yoga taught in class is put into a ‘Birth Story’ context, which basically means, we show you how to move your body creating the space and softness within you, to birth your baby with ease.
You will be guided as an individual and as a couple (partner support in postures during labour can be so helpful and bonding) through each stage of labour, also using breath, sound and visualisation for those contractions and breaths to rest and to give you a boost of energy when it’s needed. Simple pain relief and massage techniques will be shared as well as a breath for second stage and some great birthing positions to allow for a more open and comfortable labour.
We make time for relaxation allowing for you to let go of any apprehensions as well sharing the class and your experiences with other new parents to be. It is also a gorgeously nurturing practice that allows you to stop, and take time for you and your baby… giving you the space to connect with this incredible little person that grows within you.
Refreshments will be provided through out and cake & tea will be served at the end of the workshop for any questions.
This is a fun (but also highly informative) workshop where a role is created for the birthing partner, so please come comfortably dressed and be prepared to get on the floor and join in with the funny walks!!!
Experience: It is beneficial if the pregnant student has had some pregnancy yoga experience, but not essential. Ideal for couples but students coming on their own are more than welcome. This session is suitable from 32 weeks or can be taken earlier if this suits your schedule better.
